This was an animation of an existing still logo. The animated logo I created was used in all commercials for Hawthorne Plaza shopping center.
This was an instance where I was given a flat logo. I recreated it in Adobe Illustrator and separated it out into pieces, then animated it in After Effects. Having the flourishes grow on was the first idea I had, and couldn't wait to get it going.
